ROCK HILL – Mrs. Janie Rhoden Moser, 89, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017, at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center in Matthews, NC.
Mrs. Moser was born in Ward, SC, and was the daughter of the late James Wylie Rhoden and the late Orrie Mae Strom Rhoden. She was a member of Saint John’s United Methodist Church in Rock Hill since 1954, where she was active in circles, yard sales, and special programs. She graduated from Ward High School, received her BS degree in Chemistry from Limestone College and after graduation worked as a Research Assistant for two years. She also worked in the Celanese Chemistry Labs in Rock Hill, and was Lab Manager in the Chemistry Department at Winthrop University for 37 years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moser was preceded in death by her husband, Edward R. Moser, her son, Charles E. Moser, and her brother, James F. Rhoden.
Services for Mrs. Moser will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Saint John’s United Methodist Church, 321 S. Oakland Ave. with the Rev. Rett Haselden officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the church on Thursday.
Mrs. Moser is survived by her son, Terry R. Moser and his wife, Connie of Matthews, NC; her daughter, Rhonda Koulermos and her husband, Michael of Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Zachary Koulermos and his wife, Lauren, Matthew Koulermos, Nicholas Koulermos, Kristi Moser, and Alena Moser; and her great-grandchild, Luca Koulermos.
